Fabrizio
and Claudio Ferrari are two brothers who have discovered their passion
for handicraft thanks to their father Renzo. He introduced them into the
art of soapstone hand-working.
Since
1987 everyone has been following their own attitude mixing
together the stile of Fabrizio that is inspired by old tradition of
Valle dŽAosta with the more modern attitudes of Claudio. Ferrari
brothers - which continue the passion of their family - decided to start
a business and they are making soapstone stoves.

Every
customer can decide how they have to realize the stove. It is possible
to choose among different kind of designes and they can also carve the
stone with basreliefs and decorations. They can also realize little
knick-knacks or real masterworks like statues, wallcloacks and sundials.

Soap
stone is composed by a malleable and dense material that it is possible
to find in deposits set over 1300 meter altitude. The Italian name of
this kind of stone is "pietra ollare" and it comes from the
word "olla" that means pot. Since 1700 until nowadays
handworkers in Valle dŽAosta have been using this stone to realize
stoves.
